Tourism is the main national development sector with a foreign exchange target of US $ 20 billion and is expected to create 13 million jobs in 2019 with a total visit of 18 million tourists. The success of Indonesia’s tourism development shows a very significant development especially the success of country branding with the tagline “Wonderful Indonesia” has been able to place Indonesia in the top 40 position in the world. The rapid development of tourism is inseparable from the success of the four pillars tourism development strategies namely; Destination, Marketing, Institution / Source of Human and Institutional / Resources in an integrated manner. With pentahelik supported by tourism development namely; Academics, Businessmen, Community, Government and Media. To support the government in the development of Indonesian tourism, Estepers takes a strategic role to achieve the above targets. In this fifth year Estepers as a forum of the Bali Tourism School alumni who on October 18 turned into the Bali Tourism Polytechnic.
Estepers once again held the Indonesia Tourism Outlook 2020. The formation of the Indonesia Tourism Outlook is an idealism and contribution from experienced alumni in the field of Tourism to make Indonesian Tourism the best tourism destination in the world that has a competitive and comparative advantage that is quality and sustainable based on the community. Through the Indonesia Tourism Outlook (ITO) event, it is expected to be able to accurately predict future tourism forecasts that are needed by tourism stakeholders for business projections.
The Indonesia Tourism Outlook 2020 will be held on Friday, 22 November 2019 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center with the theme “Capturing the Landscape of Indonesia’s Tourism Industry 2020 – 2024 Collaboration between Technology and Expertise for a win a quality market”.
The executive Estepers who are active in organizing ITO consist of I Nyoman Sukadana A.M. Par, S.E as Chairperson, Nyoman Sarya – President Estepers Executive Club, I Made Ramia Adnyana S.E, MM – ITO Chairman and I Gede Nyoman Sapta Adi as ITO 2020 Project Director and fully supported by the team from Estepers’ management.
As quoted by I Nyoman Sukadana, AM.Par, SE, as the Chairperson of Estepers, that it is very important to follow the development of the most important technology that has to do with the progress of the world of Tourism so that the Technology and Operational collaboration of the tourism sector can go in harmony to produce data accurate that can be used as a service and operational reference.
“Through this ITO 2020 Event we invite those in the Tourism sector to come together to understand that technology will help and bring about major changes in the field of tourism businesses throughout the world” said Gede Nyoman Sapta Adi, ITO 2020 Project Director.
The Indonesia Tourism Outlook 2020 will be opened directly by the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Wishnutama Kusubandio who has just been appointed and will also be a keynote speaker who will provide bullet points regarding Indonesia’s Tourism development strategy in 2020 – 2024 according to the development of the industrial revolution 4.0.
The speakers who will also be present are Dra. Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani, M.Sc. CHE Deputy of Industrial and Institutional Affairs Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia. Prof. Rhenald Kasali, Ph, D – Change House Owner and Post-Graduate Director of the University of Indonesia.
Abdul Azwar Anas, SPd.sS, Msi – Banyuwangi Regent who during his leadership in Banyuwangi has succeeded in launching various regional programs which have now become a tourism agenda, one of which is the Banyuwangi Festival with the concept of eco-tourism which has become an example for the regions in Indonesia, the Tour de Ijen and the Airport Inauguration at Blimbingsari in Banyuwangi.
Joseph Saul – Is an expert in the field of airlines of the former President Director of Sriwijaya Air who has succeeded in bringing Sriwijaya as one of the best airlines in Indonesia. As well as a very long experience in Garuda Indonesia both at home and abroad.
A person who also has achievements is Adi Satria – Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Distribution at ACCOR Hotels, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore who will provide input on the importance of technology in building and fostering relationships with tourism practitioners in the field of marketing.
Christy Megawati – HTL Asia Pacific’s Business Development Manager of Howarth who has capabilities in the business hospitality and IT fields.
Dicke Adhitya Rustiasi – Executive General Manager of Tourism and Hospitality Services Segment, PT Telkom, he will convey the existence of technology and its great influence on the tourism industry in particular the application in Indonesia.
Not to forget the speaker of Bank Indonesia is Mr. Rizki Ernadi Wimanda, S.T., M.A. Ph.D Deputy Bank Indonesia Denpasar Bali Representative Office.
ITO 2020 expects the interaction of tourism actors in facing the future market with technological sophistication so that it can be used as a tool to bring markets from various segments.
